We are using FarPoint Spread 7.0(OLE DB) [FPSpreadADO.fpSpread.5] OCX Licensed version for our software developed in SoftVelocity Clarion 5.5. In the development environment, we never got such error 'LICENSE.DAT is not FOUND'. But, in the client environment (Fresh machines - where FarPoint OCX control was never registered before), while installing our software, it installs it without any errors. When, the screen containing the FarPoint is opened/activated, we get an error 'LICENSE.DAT is not found'. And the control is NOT loaded.

We need to get rid of this problem. Could you please help us out with the same. Please do not hesitate to ask for any other specific Technical Information that you might require to troubleshoot our problem.

Awaiting a favourable reply from you.

You need to find out from the support at Clarion how to provide runtime license support for 3rd party ActiveX controls being used in thir development environment. Once that is found out, then we can see what we need to do to help you redistribute the Spread ActiveX with your application.
