When the error 'User ID is not Authorized' is encountered, it's generally associated with a particular VIN in which the SSO ID (most commonly P70/public ID) does not have access to the VIN server data.

To verify:

  1. From the DL8 workstation displaying the error; try downloading a different engine serial number (without the VIN). If using a public (P70) SSO ID, request to the have the Programming Event reset by emailing DTNASSD@daimler.com a request to reset event due to a programming error. Include a screen shot of the error and the user ID.
  2. If the secondary engine serial number downloads successfully, contact the Dealer Help Desk to check the user ID and VIN.
